Marise Charron graduated in nutrition from Laval University and has been a practicing registered dietitian for over 20 years. She is the author of a number of successful cookbooks and loves to share her knowledge of nutrition and cooking, two related areas that she is passionate about. Marise loves discovering and inventing new recipes and believes that eating well means savoring the moment.
In 1991, Marise founded Groupe Harmonie Santé to provide professional development to dietitians in private practice and promote discussion among health care professionals. In 2010, she teamed up with Elisabeth Cerqueira to create NutriSimple.
An entrepreneur at heart, she is also at the helm of Nutrition2C (nutrition2c.com), which offers a nutritional analysis and labelling service to companies, schools, restaurants and magazines. In 1998, the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec (Professional College of Dietitians of Quebec) recognized her work with the Annual Merit Award in Nutrition.
As a clinical dietitian, Marise loves the close relationship she develops with her clients, recommending healthy habits using an approach that respects body diversity.
Elisabeth Cerqueira is co-president of NutriSimple, a network of over 45 private nutrition clinics in Quebec. She is also the coauthor of Weight Loss in the Know What to Eat series. She has a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from McGill University. She is a registered dietitian and is a member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec (Professional College of Dietitians of Quebec).
For over 15 years, Elisabeth has been teaching clients to eat by helping them increase the nutritional value of their food. She treats food imbalances that lead to obesity, diabetes, cholesterol, arthritis, anorexia and more. Her mission is to be her clients’ partner in health. At the leading edge of scientific research, she and her team of nutritionists offer a simple nutritional program. Her empirical approach promotes a diet that helps clients get in peak shape. She is known for her passion for nutrition in medical circles and in the arts. She was a nutritionist to celebrities including actor Gerard Butler, in the movie 300.
Elisabeth loves to cook with her three children and applies the advice offered at NutriSimple. She believes that eating well should be a simple pleasure. From a European background, she enjoys life’s pleasures, including food.
