Marie-France Lalancette graduated in biology from McGill University. She obtained a certificate in education from UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal) and a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Montreal. She has been a practicing dietitian since 1996.
Marie-France promotes a holistic vision of weight management and wrote Adieu régime, bonjour la vie!, published by Éditions de l’Homme in 2007. She quickly moved toward pediatrics and expanded her skills into the area of food allergies. She has gained invaluable experience at the University of Montreal teaching hospital Sainte-Justine and in the child and family department at a community health services center, but with three family members allergic to milk, home is where she put into practice her knowledge of cooking without dairy products.
Marie-France Lalancette heads up Nutrition Familia (cliniquenutritionfamilia.com), a private clinic in Laval (Quebec). She offers nutrition consulting services suited to the whole family, no matter what the dietary challenges or stage of life, such as growth, pregnancy and menopause. Working with children, teens and adults allows her to deal with a wide variety of problems.
